Abstract

The current study proposes a control-aware Quality of Service adaptation co-design method for networked control systems. The Quality of Service adapter is based on a Differentiated Services model, and uses information from theoretical stability analysis for its design. The experimental results confirm that such a co-design approach, where the stability margin with respect to a maximum network time delay is taken into account by the Quality of Service adapter, can lead to good control performances even with conventional controllers.
