Simulink Models for Operational Transconductance Amplifiers Using Fuzzy Systems

Gabriel Oltean, Emilia Sipos

Abstract

High level models for analog modules, as functional models, are invaluable in the modern approach of automatic mixed electronic circuits design. The trade-off between a high accuracy and the computational efficiency of the models can be successfully addressed by means of fuzzy systems. Taking into consideration that the Simulink tend to become a universal tool to model complex systems we chose it to develop some fuzzy functional models for operational transconductance amplifiers. These models describe the frequency response of the analog modules, including the temperature effect. The experimental results obtained for a simple operational transconductance amplifier and a Miller operational transconductance amplifier prove the validity of the proposed modeling procedure and the accuracy of the resulted models.
